Hello, hello!

Today I have some super-belated photos from Canada Day. In general … I sort of dislike fireworks. I know, I know. But they’re too loud & they make my eyes all watery. Plus, I usually see fireworks in a relative’s backyard, where we sit too close & end up covered in bits of cardboard shrapnel. (First world problems!)

Luckily, I can hide behind a camera. Fireworks are pretty difficult to photograph, especially with a basic kit like mine, but I snapped a few good ones!

The next day was spent in another town, visiting my grandpa & his wife. It was pretty relaxing, with yummy margaritas & lots of sunshine! I took a few photos of their many flowers, hopefully to be used in the future for screenprinting.

(On an unrelated note, I’m hoping to have a new place for September — somewhere with internet access!!)
