Mmmmmmalabrigo
I can’t believe December is nearly here! I only have four weeks left of this semester. I’m looking forward to some intense crafting during my month off school for winter break!
I’ve been neglecting everything: blog entries, photos, a few homework assignments here & there … but I feel particularly motivated recently. We’ve been assigned a really exciting project in Intro to Textiles (more on that later), & I feel the need to create as much as I can before sluggish, snowy winter.
I have many Shipwrecks & Bravery-related projects & ideas that need taking care of. I’m starting small (must be responsible & let my studies be #1, right? Right?), so here are some cute little anchor tags that will be attached to everything in my upcoming shop update. I drew a freehand anchor on a tiny block of linoleum, & carved it with a Speedball cutter.
I’ve been working on a batch of felt projects, as well as some super warm hats for winter. It’s really hard to just stick to the same old pattern — as soon as I pick up my knitting needles, my mind starts racing, & suddenly I’m scrambling for a piece of paper to write down notes for new hats. Luckily, I have a lovely shipment of malabrigo at the foot of my bed for these exact situations …
So exciting! I’ve got a skein of frost gray worsted by my side at the moment; time to get back to it!
